Director of Marketing & Sales Operations


Friday is seeking a Director of Marketing & Sales Operations who contributes to organizational growth through leading marketing strategy and activities, and supporting sales operations. A person in this role is knowledgeable in B2B sales and marketing strategies, particularly for strategy consulting and/or creative services in the social impact sector. Internally, the candidate will work closely with business development leads and discipline leads to execute on specific sales opportunities and to develop timely marketing campaigns that promote Friday’s services. The Director of Marketing & Sales Operations has brand management experience, is an adept project manager and excellent communicator.



  • Lead ongoing marketing activities, including content creation, social media, email drip campaigns, paid media, and target campaigns to increase awareness of the Friday brand and unique point of view in the nonprofit and social-impact space.
  • Monitor and track goals, metrics and performance of sales and marketing activities, identifying system improvements and new opportunities for consideration.
  • Develop budgets and proposals for prospective clients, partnering with business development leads through all phases of the sales pipeline.
  • Support pipeline growth through prospect research, outreach, and development of timely marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the development and promotion of thought leadership and tools documenting Friday’s frameworks and best practices.



  • You are detail-oriented and have proven success managing multiple initiatives and timelines, including but not limited to marketing campaigns and content development.
  • You are a skilled writer and understand how to apply an established brand voice to develop communications.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, with strong analytical, organizational and creative thinking skills.
  • You’re proficient in Mailchimp, Keynote, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • You’re social media savvy and understand how to tailor content to various platforms and their audiences.
  • You have 10+ years of work experience in marketing, or equivalent experience.

Position Details

  • Position type: Full-time, exempt role
  • Start date: January 2022
  • Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000, based on experience and location. Bonus eligible.

  • Location: Remote, with preference for those living in California or mid-tier cities around the United States (Austin, Indianapolis, Denver, Nashville, etc.)
